Las Olas National Art Festival
January 19-21, 2008
10 am to 5pm Daily
The Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale presents the return of the Las Olas National Art Festival, a high caliber juried art show al fresco. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet and talk to over one hundred and fifty artists from across the globe. These fine artists will showcase their work in mediums such as, paintings, sculpture, glass, mixed media, metal ceramics, photography, jewelry, and much more!
This event will be held in beautiful Huizenga Park situated along historic Las Olas Boulevard. The park is steps from the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale offering an opportunity to experience museum exhibits, as well as, festival artists. The show will also encompass parts of scenic Riverwalk promenade along the New River and Las Olas Blvd. The event will also include live music and dance performances in the Park amphitheatre and a gourmet selection of food and wine from the Museum’s Café and festival vendors.

The Las Olas National Art Festival will benefit the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale’s Studio Arts Program.
Art & Wine Tasting at the Museum Store Café
The Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale’s Store Café will host a Wine Tasting one Wednesday per Month from 5pm to 7pm. Come in and sample featured wines and mingle with other wine aficionados. You will have the opportunity to join our Wine Club and take home a bottle or two of your favorites! Check back often for confirmed dates, so you can mark your calendars, as this will surely be a great mid-week event!
Starting this December, experience a highlight tour conducted by a Museum docent. Learn about art and discuss over wine and hors d’ oeuvres. It will truly be a night of education!

Free Thursdays and Third Thursdays
Starting Thursday, Sept. 13
BankAtlantic partners with the Museum to present Free Thursday Evenings and Third Thursdays. Join us every Thursday evening from 4 – 7 p.m. for FREE admission to the Museum and on every Third Thursday from 5 -7 p.m. for an additional special Happy Hour event hosted by the Young Benefactors including cocktails, hors d’oeurves and entertainment.

Speakers Bureau
The Docent Speakers Bureau provides slide lectures about the Museum and its exhibitions and collections for businesses, organizations, and associations. The Speakers Bureau can provide preparation for a tour or increase the accessibility for those unable to attend. A donation is required. For more information call 954.525.5500, ext.241.
