Bergh, Ph.D., Curator of Pre-Columbian abd Native North American Art at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Susan E. Bergh, Ph.D., Curator of Pre-Columbian Art and Native North American Art at Cleveland Museum of Art will provide a broad overview of the Wari and their art production, with emphaisis on the textiles that were at the heart of Wari value systems. This event is complimentary to all Museum members and $15 for nonmembers. Joining our series host, certified sommelier Stephanie Miskew, will be special guest World-Renowned Master Sommelier Andrea Immer Robinson. Andrea is an American sommelier, chef, television personality, and author. She is one of 18 women Master Sommeliers in the world and was the first woman to be named by the Sommelier Society of America as the best sommelier in the United States. She has been the recipient of three James Beard Awards.
*As an added bonus each guest will receive one red and one white wine glass from Andrea’s “The One” collection to use during the event and take home to enjoy. Guests of the wine series are invited to view the galleries starting at 5 p.m.

Educators will view the newest exhibition at Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale entitled Wari: Pre-Inca Lords of Peru. Participate in a short hands-on art demonstration, gather educational resources, enjoy a Docent Tour, sample Peruvian snacks, and enter a drawing to win Wari themed prizes. Stay late for the lecture series at 7pm.
